...please take time to consider whether or not to make a tulpa (or make another tulpa) seriously. Making a tulpa is a decision that is far harder to reverse once one succeeds as compared to making the decision in the first place.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking more time to ensure that you are certain in your decision.
6:22 PM
In the end, the more tulpas - the less time they get for interaction and similarly the less time you get for interacting with any of them (or the world, assuming you don't plan to forcibly prevent them from interacting with the rest of the world).
6:23 PM
The fact that some people have (or claim to have, depending on the person) more than a few tulpas does not mean it was necessarily a good decision for them to have made so many.

There may be advantages to it, but there are also fairly clear downsides.
But to actually answer your question, I think 4 or maybe 5 is too many. 2 is comfortable, you can make 3 work, but 4 or 5 fully fleshed personalities all trying to live in only one body is just unsustainable, in my opinion.
Different people have different ways of handling their system. For some, such an amount can be sustainable. On the other hand, there are those who would struggle with any more than just 1.
Sometimes it is actually the tulpa that advocates for a second tulpa, they may want to have someone other than their host within their system they can interact with
You could use that argument to say that nobody should create someone else in their head to talk to if there are so many people to interact with in the outside world
I would not specifically advise against making additional tulpas just as I would not specifically advise against making a tulpa in the first place - but in either case, giving appropriate prior consideration and thought towards potential future results should be done.
As I said, yes, system interaction is different. As I also said, if there are 2 of you, you already have that. I don't think real world interaction is a substitute or even very comparable to system interaction.

And I think the trouble brought on by having a 3rd is not worth the extra system interaction, to use these vague phrases.

Assuming you all want equal time in the front once everyone's developed, everyone's time is cut way back.
As I have come to understand tulpas, one "thoughtform" naturally occupies the body's one consciousness, and they can use that consciousness to temporarily engage other thoughtforms.(edited)
Being able to experience the world and being able to filter it through one's unique perception are two different propositions - formulating responses adds another layer of complexity.
If I had a choice I would have stopped with one. As it is we are a system of 4 total. It does get confusing.(didn't know tulpa was a thing before I got my first, the others followed shortly after)
Ah, no. It can tire you out more quickly at first if you aren't used to it, I suppose. But, the brain does have literal limits to what it can do "simultaneously".
@Smeer It would probably be more accurate to say "processing power" instead of "one consciousness." A tulpa themselves is a consciousness that "attaches" to the brain's pool of processing power in order to be aware and think

But we might just have different understandings of the same terms
I do feel obligated to point out that "unlimited read capability" isn't quite accurate. It is certainly equal to the host's at maximum, as there is a finite limit to the quality of one's perception in general.
@Deleted User also super delayed; but I would say yes if it’s still a new exercise for you and you’ve been doing it a lot and often. Mental strain is just as tiring; and sometimes more so than physical strain.
